Web site under construction (my excuse for an unsophisticated stripped down pages).

The physics division employs me to work on all manner of projects,
like AMANDA, IceCube, KAMLAND,SNS, NESTOR and others

AMANDA related work took me to the south pole in January 1997,
2000, and 2001.
Antarctic travel is always an adventure, but before one can go to
the pole, a great deal of preparation must be done. The trip
included long work days and a little free time at the pole...

IceCube, the next big, new neutrino project is approved
and being funded
.  The current load of engineering work
may lead to future business trips to the
South Pole
for myself and other members
of the
IceCube Working Group at LBNL
