DOR TimeStamp corruption.

Status:

Open date: July 1, 2004
Close date: July 1, 2004

Participants:

John Jacobsen,   John/Kalle, & Kalle Sulanke

Symptoms:

Time calibration timestamps don't make sense. Thorsten observed that the upper and lower word of the timestamp contain the same data.  tcaltest fails and says that the difference in DOR timestamps is too long.   Examination of timestamps confirms this.  Problem doesn't occur in previous firmware (008a works, 010a fails).

Approach:

Examination of code.  Debugging statements.   The usual programmer bag of tricks.

Solution:

The firmware bug in the timestamp was located by Kalle Sulanke.
The new driver software package, DOR driver V02-00-03, is in release.

Summary:

Driver Software and irmware dated July 1, 2004 or later should be used whenever possible.  This package uses new packets.
