This study confirms that 150 pF speed-up capacitor between the logic chip and the PNP base improves the FET gate waveform.   Secondarily, the comparison made by substituting a BF579 for the MMBTH81 shows that the MMBTH81 transistor is preferred for this application.  These improvements on the circuit used in AMANDA string 18 have been imported into the latest DOM design.
